Sidney Harold Meteyard (1868-1947) Midlands and studied at the Birmingham School of Art. He later taught there, marrying one of his pupils, Kate Eadie. He was a painter and stained glass artist, and also did some illustrative work (most notably Longfellow's Golden Legend At...ArtMagick's Pre-Raphaelite Collection: short biography and illustrations of his best known works such as 'Icarus' with commentary.
